Prayer for Patient Living with Cancer
Sweet Jesus, the plan has changed.
The plan was to battle cancer and to be done with it forever. Now they are saying I will always live with some kind of cancer. I am trying to be hopeful. I am trying to count my blessings but it is hard. I need you Lord.
I need you to hold me close and lift my spirits.
I need you to teach me how to still live with fullness.
I need you to not let cancer rule my days and my nights.
I need you to show me when to accept and when to fight.
For I know all things are possible through YOU! Show me that you are BIGGER than cancer! Fill my spirit with your strength, my heart with your hope and if it is your will, remove the cancer from me so I may once again live cancer free. But if this is my cross to bear, carry it for me.
Christ, you are my Savior. You have saved me for this day and for all days from here to eternity.
In your mighty name I pray, AMEN
