Debbie Meshey is a retired professional executive from the financial services industry. Serving in a leadership position for well over twenty-five years, she had the opportunity to serve as a Vice President for several credit unions in the Arizona market. Having been blessed in a career she absolutely loved, her responsibilities included, but were not limited to, retail sales markets (branches), associate engagement, organizational development, education, learning, leadership development and executive coaching. Graduating Summa Cum Laude, Debbie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management. 

Debbie’s career in the financial sector aligned with her personal dedication to serving the local Arizona community. In fact, participating in community events since the start of her career, she has supported and participated in many community and non-profit organizations, including Children’s Miracle Network, Midwest Food Bank, Feed my Starving Children, Junior Achievement and United Way. In fact, Debbie successfully increased Valley of the Sun United Way contribution by over 100% during her six years as Campaign Chairperson at one of the local credit unions through highly successful fundraising strategies and powerful presentations.

Since retiring, Debbie has taken an active volunteer role with several non-profit organizations and with Mountain View Lutheran Church (MVLC). In fact, she is currently serving as Vice President of Church Council at MVLC and previously jointly led the development of the Women’s Ministry Program and served as the Call Committee Chairperson- recruiting and recommending a Senior Pastor for MVLC. Since joining the church in 2007, she has had the blessed opportunity to teach Sundy School, volunteer as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator, co-lead the Thursday night Women’s Bible Study, participate and lead the Mission, Vision and Values committee and conducted numerous focus groups to begin the strategic planning process.  Through active participation, Debbie found a passion for ministry and outreach and felt God’s call to ministry. 

Some quick and fun facts about myself: I grew up in a small town in Roselle, Illinois and moved to Arizona in 1987. As a child, I attended a private Lutheran Elementary School before switching to a public High School. I embraced my time there and learned how important it is to live my faith each and every day.

Debbie currently resides in Chandler, Arizona with her husband and has six children, four grandchildren and a dog named Hope.
