Coping with Recurrence by Karen Tripp

I want to start by talking a little bit about the fear recurrence. The reason for that is because one of the main reasons that I find that people end up coming post treatment into the group is one of two things:

  1. They want to give back. They feel as though they’ve survived and want to help someone else.

  2. They are having anxiety that it could come back at any time.

The issue of fear of recurrence can be a huge thing that builds in support groups or in a person’s life. So in this presentation we will talk about some of the issues that come up around dealing with post treatments fears.
