Dear God,

As we face and fight cancer as patients, survivors, caregivers, family members - help us to be able to have joy and even be able to laugh at the things that happen knowing that You are with us and give us hope. The bravest hope and help in Jesus our Savior. Give us Your blessing in this new year.

In Jesus name we pray,

Rev. Scott Schmieding is the Senior Pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church and School in St. Charles, Missouri. A Stage III tongue cancer survivor, Pastor Schmieding is the author of “Fighting Cancer with Faith”, a booklet encouraging people to include the faith factor and depend on Jesus in the fight against cancer.
